I purchased a used AC422CE  that I absolutely love, but it doesn't have a pickguard and from the looks of the finish, there was never a pickguard on the guitar.

Do some models come from the factory without pickguards?

Ciao, volevo cambiare i piroli della mia AC422ce che sono in plastica. Lo volevo prendere in ebano con intarsi in ebalone. Non riesco a trovarli, dovrebbero essere di 5 gradi quindi 5,3mm ma alcuni negozianti mi vogliono rifilare quelli da 3 gradi tipo quelli della Taylor. Qualcuno mi può dire esattamente quanto misurano e dove posso trovarli. Grazie!

I first heard this played on a train journey bout 60 years ago. Guy was carrying a guitar and I asked him what he played and he played this, as it should be played - finger picked on solo guitar. I asked him to play it again and again and again - but on the fourth  time of asking he demurred. It led me to the Reverend Gary Davis - master of the Piedmont blues and much more. It mesmerised me on first hearing. Still does.

I am leaning towards an E1D deluxe or E3D deluxe. I prefer gloss over satin. Don't care about the pickup.
Both need to be ordered, not in stock at the closest store.
I've never heard Ovangal but I like the looks of it. It seems to get mixed reviews.
Im leaning  towards E1D deluxe.

Hoping you all in the south are safe and with power. I live up on lake Ontario and we've had over 100" of snow so far but no big deal here. I understand that if you're not used to it it can be dangerous.

I recently found a mint EastmanAC522 built in 2010. No sound hole or bevel. I've cycled through a lot of guitars (GAS) and I am really impressed by the build quality, tone, and dynamics of this guitar. Personally I think the build quality is up there with my Martin HD-28V.

Does Eastman make a 12 string? I have a Taylor 855 that is amazing but I'd also like a 12 string with mahogany back and sides, maybe dreadnought size.

There are some marks, but no major deterioration such as cracks, and from an amateur's point of view the neck appears straight and has good playability.
There are no pet or cigarette smells.
It has a wonderful ring to it and a clear, beautiful sound.
