Hi folks! Brand new to Eastman Guitars and the forum!

I just picked up a used 2019 E8D at a local shop here in the Birmingham area and am thrilled with my purchase. The only upgrades I’m planning are new bridge pins (I just replaced the strings and several of the stock wooden pins were uber loose, so much so that I had to wrap a little electrical tape around one to get it to stay wedged in the hole after tightening the string), and, I’d like to replace the tuning machines from these unbranded Chinese tuners to either Waverly or Gotoh. Any suggestions as to a direct drop-in replacement? I have Waverly in my Bourgeois JOMT, so I’m familiar with those, just wondering if they’re drop-in replacements.

Anyone any ideas on fitting a Bigsby to a t386  I quite like the idea of using the Towner system. But which model of Bigsby is best fit for my guitar. The b3 or the b6

New Guitar Day was a few weeks ago. Picked up the E6-LGSS-TC-SB as a alternative to my E10OOSS/V. I really like it. I don't know how it stacks up to an actual Gibson LG2, but I don't really care . . .that's not why I bought it.

I have owned a J45 and a J35. To my ears, it sounds a bit like a mini version of those guitars, but a little more middy and compressed. I like the 1 3/4 nut and the TC Sitka top . . .though the soft C neck and the width make it seem a little shallower up the neck than it is. But no worries. I had a K&K pure mini installed, and it's been off the the races since.

Gave it a good breaking-in at a gig last week. My OO was out of commission due to some pickup issues I wasn't able to address, so I played the LG 99% of time. It's a keeper. I'll have to AB the OO and LG to see what songs in my repertoire each serves best, but that ain't work . . .it's just a good time.

I've noticed through playing the lower end models like the E10, E1D, E20D how similar the tones are. I have the E1D.  At the store I would pick up an E10D looking for a warmer tone and the moment I begin i think, I already have this guitar. Same with the 20. I think I would have to have all three in front of me and switch quickly to really notice the subtle change. Their signature sound is very prevalent across the models. Just found it interesting. All are great guitars.

HI all,

I have been playing blues and classic rock all my life. Now in my 60's ( you'll get no more details ) I have been interested in Jazz. After exploring and trying a few things I decided I needed two instruments. So I am geting a 2008 AR810 with floating pup and I need to get something more like a thin line for more modern tones. I have a t59/V that I love but I want to keep that one setup for the other stuff. So I am now debating weather I get another T59/V ( the burst ) or do I get a T186MX
The price difference is considerable, so my question is : Is it worth it ? What more do I get musically ?

Eastman E10-P dimensions. 

A client of mine, impressed by my 2019 E20-P bought a new E10-p. 
He brought it over to me today because it "felt2 different" to his E10-00. 

I took some measurements. It has a 1 & 3/4" nut and a 2 & 1/4 string spacing. 

It is not a three piece neck. 

Yes it is definitely an E10-P (sunburst) but these dimensions are just wrong for a 12 fret "0" concert style. 

Thoughts ?
