I have been thinking of adding a short scale OM. My preference is for mahogany as I have an amazing 12 fret Rosewood OM already. I also have a deep body long scale mahogany OM that works for me as stand-in for a dread. Both are listed at $850 shipped.
I previously owned an E8OM-TC with Alpine and an E20OM (as well as an E40OM stupidly sold, but let's not go there) The Alpine struck me as not as sweet as Sitka nor loud as Adirondack but a nice balance of a little of both. The Adirondacks struck me as having more distinct note separation and can get louder without breaking up. (Probably over-generalizations of both)

Assuming price, condition, model etc as being equal with the only difference being the type of spruce which would you chose? Unfortunately neither guitar is local nor returnable. I could buy both and keep the one I like better, but I would prefer not to hassle with listing/selling/shipping etc. Thanks for your time.

My luthier was able to look inside the F-holes with a tool and confirmed the pots are CTS.

Hello! I recently acquired an Eastman E20 00 from Chicago Music Exchange. The serial number places it at a 2015 manufacture date. Can someone tell me whether this older guitar has the thermo cured top? Thanks in advance!

Has been a long time - have had a great deal of family challenges going on over the last few years, which has caused me to be pretty absent online in general. Still playing my Eastmans though!

Years ago I posted a WTB for an AC820, found one, bought it, and loved it! Sadly, I now must move on from it due to the dread body size being a bit much for my bad right shoulder. My trusty old AC708CE will have to pull all the duty.

So, here it is:

Circa 2015, I believe. The Engelmann, EIR , and tasteful abalone inlays and flamed maple binding are wonderful. Gotoh (super smooth) tuners and I've added a K&K Pure Mini for a nice, natural plugged in tone.

Not a case queen, it's been played, but only has minor cosmetic imperfections. A scratch on the top is pictured (not through the finish); there are other, less obvious scratches here and there, but nothing that affects playability, tone, or structural integrity.

I love this guitar - LOVE it. It's complex, deep, has overtones for days that aren't overpowering.  

$1200, OBO. No trades, please.

Im interested in both of these.. you guys need to talk me into one of them.. was really wanting this for my living room.. the clips of the parlor sounds great.. just a little concerned about the neck size.. but I'm used to a classical sized neck from my youth

Just got my first Eastman (E1D deluxe) and it sounds super tight. I’d like to get it opened up sooner than later because I love everything else about it. I got it about a week ago and play for about an hour a night. I know it will take months/years to get it to really open up. Has anyone used a tonerite to get theirs to open up sooner. Just looking for some thoughts and opinions

Hi , I have an Eastman E 20 D. Yes , I have contacted Eastman with the serial number trying to determine it's age . It's a hand written number . They said they have no idea and ask me to send them photos of the serial number and a few pictures of the guitar which I did . They said there at a loss as to the year . The number is , just four digits (6885) I'm wondering if someone here has a E 20 D with a close number that they purchased new and what year it was purchased or , any other info . Thanks .

Solid Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides. Grover open gear tuners, k and k pick up. Willing to let it go for $1,000, listed on reverb for $1,100. Great tone and volume. Only reason I’m selling is I need the cash. Bought a Eastman E1D to replace it

Just ordered my first Eastman guitar, I’ve been a fan for a while but never pulled the trigger until now. Found one with some good looking bear claw on the top and the previous owner swapped out the original pick up for a k and k. It arrives on Wednesday and I’m pretty excited. The acoustic shoppe favs about the fit and finish and tone. What should I expect, I know they really hype the Eastmans over Yamaha and Blueridge etc. currently own a Furch D 30 SM I have for sale to make the purchase, if anyone is interest in it let me know. I’ll post pics of the Eastman when it arrives
