Eastman makes world-class hand-made guitars that are second to none. 

The quality of these guitars is absolutely top-notch. Never owned a Martin or other boutique, but had a Gibson once. Sold it after getting my E-10. I own two (E10-SS & AC522-GB) and traded in an AC-122 once.

Curious - do any of you regularly apply fretboard oil to condition your fretboard wood?  I've never done that, but wonder if it might be a good idea, especially here in Arizona..

On one of my other guitar forums there's a lively discussion on members focused collections, subjectively defined by the OP as three or more of anything. With that in mind, what are some of your current collections? For me, adhering to the definition above I have no collections as I only have two Eastmans and two Gretsches (so far). I am eyeing possibly another Eastman so I may soon be a collector.

I was at our local Eastman dealer in Memphis today .
It’s Martin guitar on Poplar Ave.
they had a new Eastman E1D Special for sale.
It was all gloss with a TC Sitka top and beautiful burled Sapele back and side.
I would more describe it as “pommele” figure.
It was a really great price and sounded really good.
I took some photos but the back is really dark and glossy so you can’t really see the beautiful figure very well.
I can’t believe that you can get an all solid gloss finish exotic wood guitar at this low price. I think it was $699.
I don’t know how many they made but by the looks of the wood it can’t be many.

I've narrowed my search to the Eastman E10OO and the E20OO.

Unfortunately, I am unable to find them in a guitar shop near me to try either of them out, and was hoping the the fine folk here could help me with as I make my decision. I play mostly fingerstyle but not particularly blues stuff. I am planning on getting an all-mahogany guitar in the future, and would love if the Eastman could be a good complement to it in my arsenal.

In addition to the different S/B woods and a little more aesthetic details on the E20OO, I noticed a post for the E10OO at LA Guitar Sales has a "20 year Old Adirondack Spruce" top. I'm not sure if that top would make much of a difference, and whether I should be taking that into consideration.

Bonus question: I also saw the E40OO that Silly Mustache talked about. It's much more outside my budget, but I'm willing to figure it out if it is really worth it. I've read that more "premium" guitars also get more "premium" woods. Beside the added bling, would there be much of a difference between the E20 and the E40 in terms of sound?

Probably not telling folks something they don't already know, but just in case, Monster Grips went out of business. Haven't been able to get them on Amazon for a while so I shot an email to the company. Received a reply almost immediately. The owner apparently has a serious heart condition and he and his wife decided to shut down production. Really hope everything works out for him. I loved those things.

I'm loving my recently purchased Juliet/V-B and as usual the first thing I do when receiving a guitar is to change the strings. Without the strings on I always clean the headstock using my usual light cleaning product. This resulted in the finish (varnish) clouding. Fortunately, the clouding subsided and being a relic'd guitar there's been no visual issues. From now on it will be only a soft cloth. I can see another varnish finished Eastman in the future.

Mak of Maks Guitars (a fine guitar shop owner in Central London, England) posted a few pictures on his Instagram page, taken at the Guitar Summit in Manheim.

Difficult to tell from the pictures but from one of the comments Mak suggests there are some new models. 

Is that a new Parlor guitar in there?  The sunburst doesn't look like the current E10P, but like the old E1P Ltd.  Looks like there is a cutaway version of the L-OM-QS too.

I'm sure Eastman will put up details of their new models soon.
