I've been mostly playing acoustic and have sold most of my electrics. I never could get into playing Les Paul's but then again only tried some of the cheaper ones. Just picked up a SB59 varnish and love it. I was wondering if anyone is top wrapping or not. Being more at home with acoustic I worry about bending cords out of tune if the strings get too slinky. The SB59 gives me the warmth I get from my acoustics. I have a E20OO, E20OOSS/V, E20SS, and a couple of Emerald carbon fiber acoustics which I highly recommend. It is just ridiculously difficult to find better guitars for the money than an Eastman...

Hi all.

I am looking for more details/spec about the model SB59/n model.

I can’t find anything in the Eastman website about that model and internet searches all bring me to the SB59.

Does anyone know about this model and the difference between the SB59/n and the SB59?

I saw this E10ss/v today at Martin music in Memphis. I really like it. They have had some E6SS guitars in the past few months that had similar looking wood for the backs.
The wood on the back and sides was very nicely figured.
But it certainly does not look like the Khaya that my E6D and most of the other “mahogany.” Eastmans I have seen.
I wonder if this is another of Eastmans “substitutions” they make and don’t tell anyone about.

Have any of you compared the T184 with the T484 (or any of the larger body versions)?

Solid wood vs laminate.
Nearly fully-hollow vs centerblock.
Different pickups.

Can someone direct me to a place to order
a pickguard for my Eastman. I bought it used
without a pick guard.

I am awaiting my new Eastman E10D-TC to arrive on Friday. This will be a companion to my 2010 Eastman EP20 which I bought new for $800 (actually, the store demo). That has been a great guitar over the years, especially for blues and old time music. 

Since Im in to more flat picking these days - and Martin D18 and HD28 are out of my price range, How does E10 D-TC hold up to Martin, especially the D18? I know this is purely subjective, both are great guitars. I just want to know the opinion of others.

Hello, to everyone. I just joined this Eastman site as I am interested in Eastman guitars. I've owned an Eastman MD-305 mandolin for approx.5 years, and am extremely happy with it's overall quality and playability at such a reasonable price point. I come from a banjo and mandolin playing background but recently started expanding my collection of stringed instruments to include tenor guitars and 6 string guitars.

I prefer OM size guitars to dreadnaughts and am interested in purchasing an Eastman E2 OM model with the cedar top. That particular instrument seems to have a lot of good reviews and the sound clips I've heard appeal to me. I've done a bit of a search on the net for sellers of this model and it appears to be not widely available. I thought I would ask the experts on this site, who they would recommend as a seller of this guitar. Perhaps someone has a favourite Eastman vendor they have ordered from in the past and has had a good experience(s). Thanks so much for any input!!

Bought a new E1 and after playing it a while a couple strings would go out of tune. Was not doing bends. chords only. guitar stays in tune without playing it. Need to try it again tonight. Anyone else have this issue? More than willing to change them out.

Hello everyone!

First, let me apologize for not posting my introduction sooner. I've been lurking, and posted a couple of times, but no intro, so here's my intro.

I'm retired from a long career in IT, a decades long guitar player, damn near 70, married to love of my life. My love affair with guitars goes back a long way - bought my first Gibson electric (Wine colored ES-335TD) in 1972. Up until 30 years ago, I hung into a couple of acoustics, only for when acoustic was called for, but my love was for electrics mainly. I sold my acoustics, and until two years ago, I didn't own one.

In early 2022 on a whim, I bought a PRS SE P20 all mahogany parlor because I was intimately familiar with the PRS wide/fat neck, and for under $500, it sounded like a no-brainer! That lit the flame, gave me new inspiration to play and explore. A year later, PRS released the P50E (spruce top, maple sides), which wasn't the upgrade I thought it would be, but I still liked it, and between the two guitars, my electrics were for the first time since the 70s, getting no playing time.

I ran a small guitar business for a while - building and repairing guitars, amplifiers, upgrades and selling parts. There wasn't much about an electric (short of playing it, lol) that I didn't know. Yet here I was ignoring my electrics for the newfound unplugged love!

If I was going to upgrade further, I thought I'd better read everything I could about acoustics, different brands, tonewoods, strings, etc. Along the way, I discovered Eastman acoustics (I was already familiar with their electrics, having performed setups on a few) and also this forum!

I have an extensive collection of electrics, amps, tubes, etc, but am just getting deeper into the world free from wires, power and amplification. I own four acoustics presently:

PRS SE P20, all mahogany
PRS SE P50E, spruce and maple
Eastman E10OO-TC
Eastman E6OM-TC

I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions moving forward, so please be patient. I'm loving acoustics right now and I'm actually thinking what was unthinkable only two years ago - replace my favorite electrics with acoustics!
