I just ordered an E6D from The Mandolin Store. Apparently it's been in the shop for a while. 

And I already have an E10D. So, if all goes according to plan, I'll be able to A/B the Sitka and Adirondack tops next week.

It is nearly impossible to find Real life specs for certain Eastman models. 

First, let me say I own an Eastman AC422ce w/ K&K pure mini and LOVE it. I also own a Taylor GS mini Mahogany w/ es-2. I really like the GS mini for what it is but am thinking I could sell it to fund a small bodied, shorter scale Eastman that would feel and perform more like a real guitar.

Here's my recent experience and I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I have been able to play these models at the local shop (the guys there arent super helpful or knowledgeable): E10oo, E10ooss, E20ooss, E20P, E10ooM.

Out of all of those I like the Sound of the E20P the best but the Feel of the E10ooM best. I felt like a good compromise was the E10oo but I just can't fall in love with mahogany no matter how hard I try. 

So here's the spec conflict that I'm experiencing. The spec sheets on the wall say the that E20P is a 1 13/16" nut width, E10ooM is 1 3/4" nut, E10oo is also 1 3/4" nut. However, they All felt different.

E20P wide nut @ 1 13/16" and Fat neck. Not super comfortable to play BUT THE SOUND!

E10ooM much more comfortable to play @ 1 3/4" and a thinner neck than the E20P but the mahogany just sounds and feels dead to me on bass notes

E10oo said it has a 1 3/4" nut on the spec sheet but the neck and nut width felt only a little smaller to me than the E20P and Definitely not the same neck/nut spec as the E10ooM. I do not understand this. 

BIG QUESTION. Are the Newer E20oo models different specs than the older E20oo models? AND are the specs of the E20oo Actually different than the E20P or was it just my perception or just those two particular guitars. On paper, the E20oo model is The One for me but only if it is truly a bit more comfortable to get around on than the E20P. 

Please help.

I bought new an AR810CE in ~2004.  It's been in for repair twice for a broken tailpiece.  Some kind of design flaw I was told.  Anyway, that was about three years ago and now I'm finding some new stuff I'm concerned about. The frets are popping up at the ends (the high e sticks underneath while playing).  The border on the pick guard is coming apart.  Then the old tailpiece style and the newish one, swing arm v fixed. Here's some pics.

I had a very nice Eastman 722CE that I regret selling.  It was one of these phases where I was in buy/sell mode and was moving through guitars.  I decided to sell this one, when in hindsight I wish I would have kept it...  I don't believe the 722CE is a super common model for Eastman.

Has anyone else sold an Eastman they later regretted letting go of?

Hi, everyone. Right after NAMM we receive word that Eastman now endorses Charmed Life Picks. We are the only pick company to build this association with them.

Charmed Life will not appear anywhere on their site, but they have given us permission to post an endorsement on ours. In the coming weeks they will be supplying us with a quote or two describing their experience with our products. 

They been playing various CLP models for about two years now and recently started using them in their new custom shop.

We're stunned and thrilled.

Anyone currently own both models? If so, I'd love to hear your comments about the differences - one being sitka, the other red spruce.

Another great video from Chapboogie.  I am really excited for these models, particularly the E2 series.

John - how did the E2 sound?  Price point is almost too good to be true...

I've had my Eastman a good few years now. While it's obviously a good guitar, for me, it's not a story of romance. The action is great but the sound - especially higher up near the 10th seems a little plastic/thin. Also, the neck seems ever so slightly bowed around the 10th fret thus giving buzz when strumming with moderate force.

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered these issues with the E10?

Seems prices on all models went up by $50, though I think the archtops went up alot more. It’s still a great deal for what you’re getting: real ebony, real pearl, Ivoroid binding, nitro etc...

I’m after that T486 with the real Bigsby it’s $1499 now abit disappointed I wasn’t able to secure it before the price went up

Eastman YT channel has nothing abt the new thinlines or the gypsy guitars, nothing at all abt NAMM 2018. Weird.
